Guidelines for Authors

Publication of materials in the Journal is carried out through the Open Journal System (OJS) online submission and peer-review platform (https://publications.ayu.edu.kz).

1. The Journal accepts articles that have not been published previously. The manuscript must be submitted in electronic format (docx) by uploading it to the Journal website https://publications.ayu.edu.kz (Open Journal System).

2. The recommended length of a research article (excluding the title, author information, and references) must be no less than 3,000 and no more than 7,000 words.

3. Paragraph indent: 1 cm; single line spacing; page margins: top - 2 cm, bottom - 2 cm, right - 2 cm, left - 2 cm. Font size - 12; font - Times New Roman. Page numbering: not required.

4. Figures, tables, graphs, charts, diagrams, etc. must be labeled in the text with a number and a title (e.g., Figure 1 - Figure title). The total number of figures, tables, graphs, and diagrams should not exceed 20% (in some cases - 30%) of the overall length of the article. Tables must be numbered and provided with titles. They must be referenced in the text.

5. First page:

  • UDC - Universal Decimal Classification index; GRNTI (https://grnti.ru) - code of the State Rubricator of Scientific and Technical Information; ORCID https://orcid.org (“Open Researcher and Contributor ID”) - a non-proprietary alphanumeric identifier that uniquely identifies academic authors;
  • The author’s (authors’) full name, academic degree, affiliation (location), city, country, and email address must be provided with affiliation details in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, and English). Author information must be presented in lowercase letters and in italics.
  • Full author details (full name, academic degree, position/affiliation, address, mobile phone number, email) must be submitted as a separate supplementary file.

6. The article title must reflect the content of the research. It should be precise, informative, clear, and understandable. Please avoid sensational titles intended solely to attract readers’ attention. The title must be provided in Kazakh, Russian, English, and Turkish, in bold and in uppercase letters.

7. Abstract - 150–300 words in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, and English). If the article is in Turkish, the abstract must be provided in four languages including Turkish (formulas and bibliographic references are not allowed). The abstract briefly describes the purpose and content of the article, the main object(s), and its distinctive features.

8. Keywords/key phrases - a set of words reflecting the content of the text in terms of the research field and methods. The recommended number of keywords is 5–7; the number of words in a keyword phrase should not exceed 3. Keywords must be provided in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, and English); if the article is in Turkish, keywords must be provided in four languages. Keywords should reflect the core content of the article; use terms from the article as well as other important concepts that define the subject area and expand the possibilities of finding the article through information retrieval systems.

9. Article text. The main text should include: purpose, objectives, background of the issue under consideration, research methods, discussion of results, and conclusion.

  • Introduction - the author presents the research topic, objectives, and stages. The introduction enables the reader to understand the authors’ hypothesis and the tools used to test it.
  • Research methods / methods and materials - this section should describe the methods and/or materials used in the research.
  • Analysis and results - the core part of the article includes not only the description of the selected methods, but also a theoretical analysis of the obtained results with supporting arguments. In this section, the author summarizes the key theses of the research findings. Results may be presented in narrative form and/or as tables, charts, and statistical indicators.
  • Conclusion - in this section, the author presents final conclusions based on the research results, expressing a reasoned view of the study.

Funding information - if applicable (at the end of the article, in italics, in the language of the published material). This section should indicate funding sources (grants, joint projects, etc.).

10. References. The article must include at least 10 sources. Bibliographic entries must be provided in the original language and additionally transliterated into Latin script (References). Transliteration must be done via https://www.translit.ru; Kazakh letters must be replaced as follows:

The Journal uses a numbered citation style: in the text, the reference number and cited page(s) are indicated in square brackets. The number in the text must correspond to the number in the reference list. The reference list must include the author’s name, the title of the monograph/collection/journal, the city, the publisher, the year, the volume, the issue number, and the total page count (bibliographic description is prepared in accordance with GOST 7.1–2003 “Bibliographic record. Bibliographic description. General requirements and rules for compilation”).

11. The article must comply with the principles of research ethics. In addition, it is recommended to cite articles published in “Yasaui universitetinin habarshysy”, “Yassawi Journal of Philology”, “Yassawi Journal of Education Studies”, and “Turkology”.

12. Articles for publication are accepted from all organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Turkey, as well as other countries near and far abroad. Journal email: ped.journal@ayu.edu.kz

13. Research articles are sent to production after obtaining the results of double-blind peer review by university and external scholars and after the editorial decision.

14. Manuscripts are edited and are not returned to authors. The Editorial Office is not responsible for the content of the article.
