About the Journal
“Yassawi Journal of Philology” is a peer-reviewed academic journal publishing original and high-quality scholarly research in the field of philology.
The journal is the legal successor of the journal “Bulletin of Yassawi University” (ISSN 2306-7365; Online ISSN 2664-0686).
The journal was registered on December 12, 2025, with the Republican State Institution “Information Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan” and was issued Certificate No. KZ40VPY00136952 “On Registration of Periodical Print Media and Online Publications”.
In January 2026, the journal has been registered at the ISSN Center (International Standard Serial Number) in Paris. Print ISSN 3107-3077. Online ISSN 3107-3085.
Publication frequency: 4 times a year (quarterly). Print run: 200 copies.
The journal is indexed in the Kazakhstan Citation Database of the National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise (NCSTTE).
Journal articles are registered in the CrossRef database, and each article is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) used to ensure persistent referencing of electronic documents.
In addition, the journal is indexed in the international information resources ROOTINDEXING and the Directory of Research Journal Indexing.
The editorial board of the journal includes scholars from Kazakhstan and abroad.
The journal accepts scientific articles from organizations in Kazakhstan, Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as other foreign countries in four languages (Kazakh, Turkish, Russian, and English). Full texts of articles are published on the journal’s website in all four languages.
The main objective of the journal is to serve as an open platform for professional academic discussion of a wide range of issues through the publication of the latest achievements in modern philological sciences.
The objectives of the journal: publication of research findings on актуальные issues in philology and applied scientific activity; analysis of achievements in advanced humanitarian technologies, science, and education; dissemination of national and global research results within the academic community; ensuring accessibility and openness of up-to-date scholarly information; monitoring full compliance of article topics with their research content; development of the journal as an open-access scholarly publication; expansion of the journal’s presence in international databases and open electronic resources.
Scope of the journal - the journal covers various thematic areas of philology, including literary theory, history and criticism, general issues of literary studies, comparative analysis of literary works, key areas of linguistics and comparative linguistics, general and applied linguistics, methods of teaching language and literature, and related fields.
Publication schedule
The journal is published in electronic and print formats four times a year (once every three months) according to the established schedule: the first issue by March 30, the second by June 30, the third by September 30, and the fourth by December 30 of the current year.
Article publication in the journal is subject to a publication fee.
- For authors affiliated with Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University (faculty members, researchers, master’s and doctoral students) - 10,000 KZT.
- For foreign authors (single authorship) - no publication fee.
- For authors from other institutions - 25,000 KZT.
