Abstract

This article provides an in-depth analysis of the interaction between digitalisation and reflective (reflexive) culture within vocational education, elucidating how these two phenomena complement one another. The primary aim of the study is to identify comprehensively the principal factors, encountered challenges, and contemporary trends that influence professional training in the context of the digital transformation of educational processes.

The paper examines in detail the multifaceted advantages of digitalisation, including increased access to education, personalised learning pathways, the strengthening of learner-centred pedagogies, and the facilitation of practical skill acquisition. Furthermore, it emphasises the fundamental role of reflective practices

in the development of critical thinking, self-regulation, adaptability, and professional competencies, thereby enhancing students’ capacity to adapt to rapidly evolving labour markets. The study also analyses shifts in employer expectations of graduates and highlights the importance of integrating digital competencies and reflective approaches into curricula. These conditions are considered essential prerequisites for preparing innovative and adaptable professionals who meet contemporary labour market needs.

The article offers actionable recommendations for educational institutions and employers and outlines future research perspectives on enhancing vocational education through artificial intelligence, interdisciplinary approaches, and adaptive technologies.

The originality of the study lies in its integration of theoretical analysis with concrete practical recommendations, providing a systematic, multidimensional, and comprehensive perspective on the modernization of vocational education.
