GELECEĞIN BIYOLOG UZMANLARININ YETIŞTIRILMESI SÜRECINDE ARAŞTIRMA YETERLILIĞI KAVRAMININ ŞEKILLENDIRILMESI

Makalede, araştırma yeterliliği kavramı üzerine yerli ve yabancı literatür çerçevesinde teorik bir analiz yapılmıştır. Günümüzün öğrenci/birey odaklı öğretim teorisine göre öğrenci, pedagojik sürecin merkez figürüdür. Bu doğrultuda öğrencinin hazır bilgiyi edinmesi ve tekrarlamasından ziyade; edindiği bilgiyi bağımsız olarak özümsemesi ve uygulaması bir öncelik haline gelmelidir. Çünkü bireyin gelişimi için bilgiyi sadece hafızada tutmak yeterli değildir; bu gelişim ortak yansımalar (refleksiyonlar), tartışmalar ve araştırmalar yoluyla gerçekleşmelidir. Bireye duyulan saygı sadece eğitim ve mentorluk süreçleriyle sınırlı kalmamalı, öğrenciyle kurulan iletişimde her zaman kendini göstermelidir.
Dolayısıyla bizim çalışmamız bağlamında araştırma yeterlilikleri, geleceğin biyolog uzmanlarının mesleki hazırlık sürecinin temel unsurudur. Sunulan materyalin yapısal sistemi, “araştırma yeterliliği” kavramının farklı boyutlarda sunulma özelliklerini ortaya koymaktadır. Bilim insanlarının ve araştırmacıların çalışmalarına yönelik yapılan bu analiz, biyolog uzmanların eğitim sürecindeki diğer kavramların incelenmesinde de yaygın olarak kullanılabilir. Araştırma sonuçları, biyolog uzmanların araştırma yeterliliğini şekillendirme konusundaki yaklaşımları ve fikirleri geliştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Yeterliliklerin şekillendirilmesi sürecinde; geleceğin biyolog uzmanlarının bilimsel araştırma becerileri, eleştirel düşünme, veri toplama ve analizi, bilimsel metinlerle çalışma, laboratuvar çalışmalarını yürütme ve etik normlara uyma becerileri güvence altına alınmaktadır.
