KAZAKH NOVELS IN THE YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE: ARTISTIC AND STYLISTIC INVESTIGATIONS

The article examines the novels of four writers published after Kazakhstan’s independence, characterized by innovative approaches, new forms, and distinctive stylistic features. It also identifies the artistic and stylistic characteristics of these works and highlights the authors’ creative mastery.
The main objective of the study is to analyze the novels Zharmak by Mukhtar Magauin, Taltus by Talasbek Asemkulov, The Parrot-Colored Butterfly, Flowers and Books, Poet and Devil by Didar Amantai, and Munara by Aigul Kemelbayeva. These works were selected as they were published during the years of independence, have been recognized by literary scholars and critics as innovative contributions to the Kazakh novel, and have gained broad recognition within the literary community. The analysis emphasizes the writers’ stylistic explorations and individual artistic signatures through specific examples, while also assessing their contribution to the development of the modern Kazakh novel.
The theoretical framework of the study is based on fundamental scholarly concepts developed by both domestic and foreign literary theorists, including approaches to text analysis, the evolution of the novel genre, and issues of authorial style and poetics. The research applies methods of analysis, synthesis, systematization, and generalization, ensuring a comprehensive and well-grounded interpretation of the selected works and their role in contemporary literary development.
