STUDY OF KAZAKH ANIMALISTIC PROSE

This article examines the study of Kazakh animalistic prose. The aim of the study is to determine the historical development of Kazakh animalistic prose, the history of its scholarly investigation, its distinctive features, and its place within national literary criticism. It must be acknowledged that works addressing the research history of animalistic prose – whose historical roots lie in Kazakh oral folk literature – are remarkably scarce in Kazakh literary scholarship. Taking these circumstances into account, the need to conduct a research study on this subject defines the purpose of the present article. In accordance with this aim, the following objectives were established: first, to analyse the problems of the formation and scholarly study of Kazakh animalistic prose. Second, to examine the artistic, and axiological functions of folkloric-totemic motifs. And third, to articulate the results of the study from theoretical, academic perspectives.
The scholarly novelty of the article lies in its comprehensive treatment of the interrelationship and continuity of mystical, folkloric, and totemic motifs in animalistic prose within the context of national literary studies. The article analyses the evolution of the Kazakh animalistic prose genre, the historical transformation of its motifs, and its place within the national worldview and culture. The research findings reveal the artistic, theoretical, educational, didactic, and axiological functions of animalistic prose and provide a scholarly framework for its social and cultural roles. The findings and scholarly conclusions of the article may be applied in courses and seminars across the social sciences, as well as in research in literary studies, cultural studies, folklore, philosophy, pedagogy, ethnography, and related fields. The article is oriented towards the study of Kazakh animalistic prose from a modern scholarly perspective and offers a framework for analysing and understanding questions of ecological consciousness, ethnocultural code, and axiological systems.
