This article examines the impact of library resources on the formation of future teachers' research competencies in STEM and TVET programs. University libraries are analyzed not only as traditional source of information, but also as an integrated academic centers that develops students' research culture and information literacy. The study was conducted with the participation of 114 students from three universities studying for a degree in Physics. The data were collected using a survey based on a five-point Likert scale and processed using descriptive statistics, confidence analysis (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.898) and regression analysis in the SPSS program. The results of the study showed that the systematic use of library resources has a significant impact on students' research competencies (β = 0.656; R2 = 0.483; p < 0.001). While high results were observed when searching for scientific information and choosing a topic, low rates were recorded in the use of special STEM-related data and participation in library seminars. As a result of the empirical research, future priority areas have been identified and the need to adapt library resources for their development has been proved. Based on the data obtained, a “Model for the Formation of Scientific Research Competencies in the STEM-TVET system through the integration of library resources” has been developed, aimed at developing future teachers’ information literacy, data analysis ability, and academic subscription skills for future teachers. The results of the study showed that the effective use of library resources in the field of STEM makes a significant contribution to improving the educational experience, enhancing students’ research culture and facilitating adaptation to the requirements of the information society. In the future, the integration of library resources with artificial intelligence, data mining, and distance education technologies will be an important direction for bringing students' scientific research competencies to a new level.
