The article presents ideas and ways of integrating education in the context of sustainable development aimed at training biology teachers. Taking into account the ideas of sustainable development, special attention is given to constructing a methodological system that equips future teachers for professional practice. An important aspect of this system is the combination of active practical experience with ethical reasoning and reflective practice, which contributes to the integration of professional knowledge with the values of the teacher in both professional and everyday contexts. The article considers the main aspects of the formation of competencies necessary to ensure the sustainable development with a specific emphasis on preparing future biology teachers. The model is based on modern teaching methods, including problem-based learning, project activities and interactive methods, and includes theoretical and practical aspects. Special attention is paid to the development of communication with nature, ecological thinking, and a sense of environmental responsibility.
The scientific and practical significance of the research lies in the fact that it is possible to contribute to the formation of an environmentally conscious society on the path of training future biologists. The research results can be used to integrate the principles of sustainable development into the educational process of biology students.
